I almost never post but felt obliged to at this coffee shop.Truly amazing service with an owner/ operator that has such a tender heart. I had a great highland grogg coffee that was easily one of the top 3 coffees I have ever had. Sitting down to read and relax in a comfortable lounge chair with a delicious piece of strawberry pie I was blown away by how much Pat (the owner) cares for her customers. She held the hand of a 91 year old widow who recounted life stories from the farm and her late husbands death as tears welled up in her eyes. Pat then proceeded to listen patiently and ask the elderly lady to be her taste tester after learning she mostly ate frozen dinners. I felt like I witnessed a true act of charity as Pat gave away some to go food for the lady and asked her to come back periodically to test the food and make sure it was good quality. This is something that I would only be able to witness in a local coffee shop and the truly unique atmosphere of a place like this.
Came upon Fiona's by accident while waiting for an appointment. This is such a lovely little place! Had fun shopping around the teas and jewelry.
I had lunch here during a visit to Camrose. Cute little place - and great food... if you ever get it.I was the second person in line to order with only two other people already sitting down (and already eating). I waited 25 minutes before my food was ready and by this time five people had already been served. I only ordered a tea and grilled sandwich. The place was not even busy when I ordered. Only one table was occupied. I even mentioned, "should I wait here?" after 10 minutes and went to the counter in case they forgot me and they said "we don't premake the food". After this an additional person was served while I waited. No sorry from them for waiting or anything. After a 30 minute wait they brought the tea and I requested a to go cup as I was now running late. Took almost another 5 minutes for them to bring the to go cup and again no apology or even a smile. Also I have to note, I asked for no cucumber on my sandwich and they gave it to me anyways. Normally this wouldn't phase me but this time it was just the icing on the cake. I'm sure this isn't typical but I wasn't impressed with service and I will be unlikely to return.
The Best Tea in Town - they have a wall of loose-leaf teas, the best selection in Camrose. Fiona's is nice 'hole in the wall' locally-owned caf on Main Street with French-style caf seating outside, and are known for their highland grogg. They also serve coffee, make delicious soups and sandwiches, quiches, and baked goods. The staff are friendly, get to know you, and the prices are fair. It's a great place to meet up with a friend, or to read a book and look at the local art that is showcased on the walls. Unless it is late at night, forget corporate Starbucks and come to Fiona's.
Always warm and friendly service! The best atmosphere for gathering with friends. Amazing unique soup recipes from Europe. Love the staff
