My grandparents live here. They pay way too much for a place that's infested with ants every spring, the carpet hasn't been changed since the building was built ( about 14 years ago), and there's a bucket under the sink cause it leaks. Other tenants don't clean up after their dogs, they're allowed to smoke pot in the building, and it stinks. In the winter the landlord's don't put any rock salt or anything down in the winter so it's always slippery ( one lady broke her foot/ ankle when she fell and had to have surgery). This is just a horrible place to live. The landlord's suck and then they get bonuses for saving money and cutting corners.

It was a horrible experience. We moved from Manitoba 2 years ago and moved into these appartments, paid pet deposit and was promised back to me as well as my damage deposit. Both were a lie. Dan the husband of crazy Jackie as people there called her said we I could put peagravel down instead of the bark that was being tracked in. Then he said we could have a deck, my sister a d brother in law helped me made it look very nice flowers and all,had lattice for safety. About a month later Jackie tells us we had to take it down, but its ok for them to have their deck in place. Our lease was just about done, so I asked Dan would we be penalized if we left early, I had asked him 2 weeks pryer to moving, he told me that we would not be penalized, again that was a lie. I hired the lady Trudy to clean and get it ready so we could get our damage deposit back, we had an agreement that she would clean after her day job, the price was 150.00. So we moved out by late at night june 2nd. When I gave back the keys to Jackie the morning of the 3rd, she wanted my address so she could forward my mail. Guess what she lied again, she sent me a bill for the cleaning ladyTrudy that I hired and she charged me over $35 and hour workingout to be over $400. She charge a late rent fee $50 I was out so not understanding this. So according to Jackie I owe them 123.83. For one I paid 525.00 damage deposit she says only 500, she should not have butted into a private deal with Trudy, 420 is a big difference then the 150 we had agreed to. They are the worst landlords that I have ever dealt with. In the winter I was walking out to go to work, the sidewalk was so icy I wiped out so hard and banged my head, when I was finally able to get up I went to Jackie and Dan's door and told them what had happened, she didn't care. I went to work that day,should have went to doctor, I had hurt for 2 weeks. They let people smoke in the appartments, guess thats why they make it manditory for you to get there insurance. If you do want to live there get your own insurance,these JW's religious people are not trust worthy. They also put their JW pamphlets in your mail box, I have had a couple. I ha e called the head office in Edmonton a couple times, they do not call you back. How I see it if you are caretakers you should be in the office and they should be looking after the grounds not sitting on their deck, and 2 old ladies planting flowers and pruning the bushes and watering. There is so much more but I think you get the jyst of it. I will not recommend these apartments until they get proper caretakers. I could do a way better job then them two.
